Summer Beach Picnic

We went to the beach on Memorial Day.

Grandma and Grandpa came too...

And so did our friends, the Yoses (plus 2 friends). I teach their daughter Kristen (in the purple). She is my prized piano student. Since we live farther away now, I actually teach her via the webcam. But on Monday we were lucky enough to do an in-person lesson and it was fabulous!

After lunch, all the kids (Kristen and her friend Claire, and Stephanie (Kristen's older sister) and her friend Brandon) went kayaking...

Kristen used to be Preston's babysitter for 2.5 years and so he basically followed her around and copied everything she did all day.

Taylor took up an immense interest in Grandma's sunglasses...

My good friend, Karen (Kristen and Stephanie's mom)

Preston stuck in some bushes...and too tired to get up.

It was a really fun day! We're so glad that the Yoses were able to come up for a visit! We sure miss them!

P.S. 2 more new posts below...

Looks like fun on the water. How come Preston is usually with his Grandpa. The two of them make a fine picture!

We are looking forward to seeing you in Reno and want you and Jenni to plan on a fun night!

I love the blanket that Taylor is setting on. I used to have one that Tessha and Sandy made for me when we were living in Idaho. I used to always have it in my car and made a good camping blanket. It however went the way of all the Earth. (It was made of my old levi's.) We were coming home once from church and came across a bad accident. I used the blanket on the people that were waiting for the ambulance and police to arrive. It was covered in blood so it got thrown way.
