Northwest Blues

Okay, so I know I have been in the mood for snow for so long, and we even have it in our forecast to snow this evening here in Seattle.

HOWEVER, a switch suddenly flipped earlier this week and I'm SOOOO done with winter!

I have been looking at pictures like this one above and dreaming of visiting James & Elizabeth in Hawaii. I keep seeing all of their photos of them walking around in shorts and flip-flops and being so carefree and happy....and then remember we're stuck in the NW with all the rain and cold weather for another 3 months...and I get sad. :(

I'm thinking maybe I'll decorate the baby's things in palm trees and beach stuff. Is that selfish of me? I know I'll be spending a lot of time in the "nursury" so might as well make it like a little vacation retreat right? Hahahahahaha.

Here are some more photos to help me reminisce of sunnier days..

(Will and I in Hawaii -left, and also bottom with Daniel, Dalynn, and Tessha - woohoo!)

(The other two are Will and I on our honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico)

Last but not least - me relaxing in a hammock on a beach in Mexico. Ahhhhhhh. Waiter,eh hem, where is my drink with the umbrella please?

James said I need a hammock shot too!

Yeah, when will you come? I heard of a new place on the North Shore called the Roemhildt Resort, it is awesome, just ask Mark and Laura.

We miss the NW, but not enough to come visit in the rainy cold weather.

If you do a palm tree beach thing, I'll keep my eyes out for genuine Hawaii beach things to decorate the nursery with.
I'm not trying to brag or anything but James and I did paint Sitani a pretty cool surfboard.

We can't wait to see you this summer.

We won't mention the 3 inches of snow we got last night, just hours after Jenni finished this blog.

Sorry babe, just close the blinds crank the heat and start decorating with palm trees. LOL

I love how Will is so supportive. I just wish he'd have pulled the tickets out of his pocket and say, "Well, let's go." but then he did say you could start the palm tree thing. Actually, I love the idea. I used to have a palm tree in my front yard in Manhattan Beach. You should have seen Granpa climb up and trim it.
Sitani's surfboard is beautiful. James and Elizabeth did a great job on it. I'd let them do it again. We could call him Zippy Zapp Surfer. Now say that fast 3 times.
Oh, we just got the word that they're sending kids home early today. The roads are slick and the wind is gusting at 60 miles per hour. Teacher stay. Shows who's really important in the school scheme.

Congrats on finding out it's a boy! That's so exciting! Sorry I haven't commented on your blog forever, I've been such a slacker at the blog thing. Everytime I get on the computer, I end up spending like 4 hours, so I've had to cut back.

I'm so ready for summer too... I loved all your pics!

We love the cool lil surfboard that Elizabeth and James made for Sitani. It is by our computer and everyone always comments on it. They want one too. We love it lots. It even has a part of the Tongan flag.

Hey, I'm coming to Seattle to find good weather. Maybe I should just pick you up and we can both keep going.
