In the Land of Giants

Giant #1: Mt. Rainier - where we drove to for Memorial Day.

Giant #2: Huge old growth trees near Mt. Rainier

Giant #3: The annoying stupid black bears who keep finding our trash

So last year, we had a bear that would always come around and get into our trash can. We called animal control but all they basically said was that it was our fault for leaving our garbage out. Well, we are renters so we don't really have a choice. No garage.

We knew the bear must have come out of hybernation lately because our trashcan kept getting knocked over. Last night, we caught them in the action and these are where we got these pictures from. And yes, I said "them", because it turns out that there were THREE bears in all.

And lastly, Giant #4: How big, brave, and wonderful Will is to our son.

It is really sweet to see what great friends those two are.

That last photo is priceless, Jenni. It's a prime family-picture-wall candidate in my book. :o)

It looks like you had a great time on Memorial Day. Hooray!

I forgot to mention that Will had put a very secure lock on both trashcans AND tied them to a tree...and the bears still managed to open them up and destry.

Thanks Annalea!! I agree with you about that last picture... :)

Yes, I LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOOVE that last picture. Preston could be a baby model. I'm not kidding. :)

Those huge trees are really neat! We don't have anything like that around here.

You know Jenni, there's a glow about you now. I can tell you are LOVING being a mom. :)

(Is it just me, or is it a really slow blogger day?)

What a fun outing! Was it scary to go on a bridge with Preston that said only one person at a time? That looked kind of scary. Yikes! :) Love the last picture of Will and Preston. Soooo cute!

As the latest story book I have read put it "Holy Guacamole" What a beautiful place to explore. I am so jealous. Preston looks like such a little boy these days. I can't believe he is almost 1!
