My Performance with a Symphony Orchestra

A few years ago, I was able to perform as a soloist with an orchestra in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was video taped by a friend, and over the years I had lost the footage. It has literally taken me 2 years to track down this video – as I had lost touch with the orchestra members and the person who video taped it. I finally received the footage last week.

I posted the YouTube video on my music blog "Musical Meanderings" - if you would like to see it. The link is below. I hope you enjoy!

Update on Us

As for how we've been doing, sorry I haven't posted much. We honestly haven't been up to anything exciting other than dealing with a recent mice infestation in our kitchen, Preston's double ear infection, Will's nasty cold (which we think he might need antibiotics for), stress, anxiety (mostly on my part), and other "such is life" scenarios.

Will actually has 1 or 2 blogs that he's been working on for the last year. I'm not kidding. The poor guy just doesn't ever have the time to finish them. He has one blog about his 96 mile trek around Mt. Rainier that he did in 36 hours. And another one about ...hmmm...okay now I'm drawing a blank. But he's got one other adventure that he's been meaning to blog about as well I just can't remember what it is. He likes to be very detailed about his adventure blogs because he writes about them for his own keepsake to remember them, thus, it takes a while to finish them.

Will is attempting his first 100 mile trail race the 2nd weekend in April. If anyone wants to come cheer him on, we'll be camping at one of the state parks near Port Gamble over on the Olympic Peninsula that weekend. It would be fun to have friends around the campfire.

Preston has turned into a chatterbox. Nonstop. It's comical and the house is never quiet. We love it. He's also figured out how to unscrew lids, which is kind of scary. And has recently had a fascination with mommy's...um...how do I say? Chest area? He now all of a sudden notices them all the time and points at them. I don't know what to tell him, so I just tell him "belly", and then he points to my belly and I then just say "baby". haha. I don't think he understands what I mean by that, because we do point out babies to him when we see them. So why on earth would mommy's belly be a baby? If I told him that there was a baby IN my belly, he might think I ate one. This should get even funner as the months progress.

I'm doing well. I am a little over 17 weeks along, and we will have an ultrasound this coming Friday (at 18 weeks) to find out the sex of the baby and to also make sure the heart is developing well and blah blah blah. Oh come on, we all know that the biggest reason we go to these ultrasounds is to sneak peaks at the baby and to find out the sex so I'm just going to say it how it is. Anyway, I've been doing physically better this time around than I did with Preston, however, emotionally.....well....let's just say I feel sorry for Will! I get pretty stressed out easily over silly little things. I think having a toddler to take care of as well this time is part of that.

So that's us in a nutshell. Sorry not very exciting! And no pictures. :(

My kids have been, let's say, intrigued with my boobs forever. When they see me naked they always make a point of saying, "I can see your boo-boos". NOT my word by the way, I just go ahead and say boobs or boobies. They point them out even when I'm NOT naked as well. I guess they are sort of noticeable and different then what they've got goin' on!
